a life documentary film

rowena

At 100 years old, Rowena’s story feels like stepping into a living piece of American history.
Born and raised in Arkansas, she carried her small-town roots with her to Iowa, where she attended Iowa State College and unknowingly stepped into the moment that would change her life forever. At a college “snowball dance,” she met Loren- standing tall in his World War II military uniform. That single evening became the beginning of a lifelong love story.
Together, Rowena and Loren built a beautiful life, raising three children and creating a legacy that now lives on through their grandchildren and family traditions. Along the way, Rowena traveled across the world, collecting stories of adventure, resilience, and wonder- stories that shaped who she is today.
Deeply proud of her family and heritage, Rowena carries a remarkable connection to America’s past, tracing her lineage back to Abraham Lincoln. Today, she continues to share her memories from her home in Iowa, offering a rare glimpse into a century of life, love, war, travel, and faith in family.
This life documentary captures more than memories, it preserves a voice, a love story, and a family history that might otherwise fade with time.
