a life documentary film

Terry

I had the absolute privilege of filming this documentary in the very house where Terry was born and raised—a place filled with memories and the heart of his story in rural Tennessee.
Growing up on his family’s farm in rural Tennessee, Terry learned the value of hard work early on. From baling hay to tending cattle, his childhood was spent working the land, and that work ethic has stuck with him ever since.
After going to college, Terry became a high school teacher and football coach, dedicating years to shaping both young minds and young athletes. On the field and in the classroom, he was a mentor, guiding students with the same determination and care he brings to everything in life.
Terry also served in the Tennessee National Guard for over 30 years, rising to the rank of First Sergeant and completing two tours in Iraq. But despite his military accomplishments, Terry’s greatest pride is his family. He and his wife, Robbie, have raised three children, and today, he’s the proud grandfather of four.
What makes Terry's story even more special is that he’s never left his roots. He still works the farm with his two sons, continuing the family tradition of tending cattle and living off the land. This film is a tribute to a man whose life has been built on hard work, service, and a deep love for his family and the land that raised him.
I am honored to have had the opportunity to visit Terry on his family farm and to have heard his incredible stories!
